SB 10, Motor Fuel Tax Rates – Consumer Price Index Adjustment – Repeal
Repeal the automatic gas tax increase link to the consumer price index.

This bill repeals the annual indexing to inflation of specified motor fuel tax rates.Undercurrent law, motor fuel taxes are increased annually based on inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The bill repeals any future increases beginning in fiscal 2016.


SB 27, Baltimore County Public Schools – Revocation of Magnet Status – Approval
Would provide a final vote by the Baltimore County Senate and House delegations on whether the Baltimore County Public School System could remove the magnet status of a county school

This bill specifies, that in Baltimore County, the revocation of the magnet status of a public schoolin the county does not become effective until the revocation is approved by the majority vote of all the members of the Baltimore County Senate and House delegations to the General Assembly.
